ICC save the date-01

Are you ready to take action? Join us on September 19th for the 30th International Coastal Cleanup! Be part of the largest, single-day volunteer effort to fight marine debris! Last year, 560,000 volunteers from 91 countries participated in this cleanup effort and picked up more than 16 million pounds of trash. California volunteers alone stopped almost 680,000 pounds of trash from entering our marine systems. That’s a lot of trash!

Join us this year for the International Coastal Cleanup’s 30th anniversary and make a difference in your area. Find a cleanup near you and sign up to clean up by registering online with the Ocean Conservancy; don’t forget to mark your calendar!

Tell us where you’ll be by using the hashtag #NOAACleanOcean.

See you on Saturday, September 19th!

The NOAA Marine Debris Program envisions the global ocean and its coasts, users, and inhabitants free from the impacts of marine debris. Our mission is to investigate and solve the problems that stem from marine debris, in order to protect and conserve our nation's marine environment, natural resources, industries, economy, and people.
